My name is Bernard Rice, and I’m a writer, actor, and musician, in that order.
To support myself, in lieu of the money I never made much of in the arts, I have had a variety of full-time careers and odd jobs. I have been a psychotherapist, social worker, a teacher of English, a camp counselor, guitar teacher, singing teacher, journalist, theatre critic, copywriter, a computer programmer and system designer, software support specialist, business analyst, and a software trainer over a wide range of industries from health care to investment banking, home loans, smart phones, and trucking. I worked produce in a grocery store, and tagged bears in Minnesota while I was helping clear land for a campground.
